Star Anise in Sky Ombre' Colorway

This pattern was created by Quiltworx as a limited release project to show off the Star Anise Tonga Batik Mini Collection designed by Judy and Judel Niemeyer, from Timeless Treasures. There were only 500 copies of this pattern printed and when they are gone, they are gone.  I've taken the pattern and created a colorway using some of my favorite Sky Ombre' fabrics by Jennifer Sampou.

This kit includes the fabric to complete the quilt top as well as the ADDENDUM to the cutting instructions to help you cut the fabrics so the light and dark ombre's in the fabrics are featured as they are in my sample.

The Star Anise layout includes three distinct groups to create an 80” square quilt. A circular center sits in the middle of the quilt with a diameter of 62”. A 4” wide ring surrounds the center for a total increased diameter of 70”. Then, a square up border brings the quilt to 80” square.
